International Council for Social and Economic Development (ICSED) is a Non-profit and non Govt. organization promoted by “Vidyapati Mission” (VM) – a Trust registered (Registration No. DL-SR-VIIA-03/2018-19) under the Indian Trusts Act 1882 at New Delhi and also registered with NITI AYOG, Govt. of India (Registration No. DL/2020/0266918).

ICSED is engaged in an array of activities like Advocacy Programs, in Depth Research & Analysis, Impact Assessment, Monitoring & evaluations, Seminar & Conference, Project Advisory Services, Qualitative Surveys & Opinion Analysis & Publications which are in accordance with the broader objective of Sustainable & Equitable Development.

ICSED is guided by a practical and sustainable approach towards solving development issues in accordance with the Global and National
Sustainable Development Agenda. It aims to create an enabling environment for a professional and solutions centric approach towards solving various socio-economic problems in different places internationally. The world today is guided by path braking innovations and scientific advancement which need to be balanced and aligned with improving lives and livelihoods of people spread across the length and breadth of the country, including sensitive borders where lies manifold challenges of development as well as internal security.

The complexities of the Development Challenges in India provide opportunities to develop innovative solutions as and when required through a professional and expert understanding of the ground reality and issues. Also coupled with internal challenges is the grater goal of building socio-economic, trade and cultural ties with neighboring countries, especially the South East Asian Countries which have a historical connect with India.

ICSED’s focus is to promote organizational sustainability, emphasizing the importance of a universal approach to social protection and enhance the institutional, professional and technical competence of partner organizations for effective coordination to successfully deliver the programmes and services for overall development of the society. It is in understanding these multiple dimensions that ICSED has outlined its mission towards professionally and purposefully contributing to the Development Framework as envisioned in its core areas of work.
